In Collaboration with Ngā Puhi hapū; Manea is an all encompassing cultural experience An all-encompassing cultural experience with live guides and performance, original carvings, an interactive gallery and a spectacular, immersive 4D-theatre.
My role within this project largely focused within the interactive gallery space, working on the UX and UI of the experience. This interactive gallery uncovers the ‘footprints of Kupe’ - the histories carried by his descendants through the navigators Nukutawhiti and Ruanui, and Ngā Puhi rangatira, Rāhiri.
Within the gallery, each "station" used a small touch screen and a larger video screen to present the content and stories. The small screen allowed visitors to explore various stories as well as control the videos they watched. Each kiosk also allowed for key Māori terms to be explained or translated.
